System Analyst

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a motivated, ambitious, dynamic team player to fill the position of System Analyst. Reporting to the Research and Development Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the specification, design, system testing and sporadic development activities of solutions (both in house and external), mainly SharePoint based, in a context driven by regulations.

The candidate’s main responsibilities will be:

  • Software analysis & design and maintenance
  • Interface with multi-functional teams both internal and external
  • Design components and provide information to the developers
  • System testing (documentation and execution)
  • Participate in prototyping activities
  • Participate in the analysis and evaluation of new tools and methodologies
  • Participate in system configuration activities and perform sporadic developments
  • May research and evaluate a variety of software products
  • Participate in the provision of technical help desk support in close collaboration with the CSS team
  • Write technical system documentation (i.e. Functional Specifications) based on the solution’s Requirements document
  • Support and perform system deployment
  • Support issue management (finding, analysis, resolution) process
  • Interact with programmers during system development
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of solution specific user manuals
  • And other tasks as required.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field such as Engineering, Sciences, Information Technology or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in software development lifecycle and  experience in the life science industries.
  • Good analytical and design skills;
  • Ease of communication and documentation
  • Programming experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, excellent team-player
  • A thorough understanding of the Software development life cycle
  • Sporadic international travels
  • Ability to quickly learn and acquire new technologies autonomously
  • Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems
  • Creative, innovative and efficient
  • Written and spoken fluency in English is essential

Required technical skills

  • Object Oriented programming, NET, C#, Scripting (powershell)
  • Configuration control, system monitoring, deployment
  • Active directory, IT server & desktop maintenance and monitoring

Assets

  • MCP or willingness to become one
  • SharePoint Object Model, Nintex Workflow, InfoPath, AdLib, SQL 2008
  • GAMP 5, FDA 21 CFR part 11, ISO 13485, ICH
  • Risk based approach, fault tree analysis, tradeoff analysis, TDD
  • Security (claims, FBA, trusted domain, ADFS)
  • System architecture & sizing
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset.
