Business Analyst

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a motivated, ambitious, dynamic team player to fill the position of Business Analyst. Reporting to the Business Analytics and Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for proactively conducting interviews with all project stakeholders to elicit functional requirements, modeling those requirements in an organized manner, then managing and communicating those requirements throughout the project life cycle. The incumbent will also be required to undertake project management responsibilities.

The candidate’s main responsibilities as a Business Analyst will be:

  • Gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements and develop specification documents in accordance with applicable procedures, regulations and industry best practices.
  • Work with business stake holders to identify opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes.
  • Interact with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand and define their problems and needs.
  • Research, evaluate and synthesize technical information to facilitate the design, development and testing/validation of computer-based systems.
  • Participate in the analysis and resolution of business problems and, as needed, designs technical solutions
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while working independently and with other team members.
  • As an integral part of cross-functional teams, this person must learn the products by hands-on experience.
  • Participate in the assessment, development, execution, troubleshooting and documentation of computer system validation activities such as described in client/internal procedures
  • Participate in the assessment, documentation, upgrading and development of required IT procedures needed to meet validation requirements
  • Interact with system architects and developers to ensure system is properly implemented
  • May help test the system and create system documentation and user manuals
  • May provide sales support as required; participate in Request For Proposal (RFP) response efforts and develop proposals or Statements of Work (SOW).

The candidate’s main Project Management responsibilities will be:

  • Identify and manage project issues, budget, scope, and risks
  • Keep project team and stakeholders informed
  • Maintain an irreproachable and commendable reputation with Montrium’s clients
  • Manage project resources and the synchronizes their respective activities
  • Ensure quality of project deliverables
  • Ensure successful completion of all project objectives
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor degree in a scientific or engineering discipline or equivalent experience in business analytics or system specification management.
  • Mnimum of 2 years Experience in project management (PMP certification preferred)
  • Outstanding organization, communication, and interpersonal skills essential. 
  • Analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Ability to work in a team environment required.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English is essential
  • Domestic and international travel required.

Assets

  • Experience in regulated industries (experience in biopharmaceutical industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, InfoPath Form and Nintex Workflow is preferred
  • Knowledge of SDLC, appropriate GxP compliance, GAMP and other regulations, laws and industry standards.
  • In depth knowledge of GAMP 5, FDA 21 CFR part 11, ISO 13485, ICH, ITIL
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset.
